I'm a web developer, not a designer. I make websites work. They look fairly decent too. But if I want them to be highly professional, I get a designer.
I create semantically correct HTML. No tables for layout. No confusing source code. Just take a look at the code for this page!
I use CSS3 and put up with Internet Explorer's short comings.
I follow best practices.
I use PHP. I not as interested in Perl, Python, Ruby on Rails, .NET, ColdFusion, or Java.
I love Drupal. I'm okay with Expression Engine and Wordpress. I can't stand Joomla.
I use frameworks to work more efficiently and have less errors.
I know SQL like the back of my hand.
I can make JavaScript do amazing things, especially with jQuery.
I love Open Source Software. I hate licenses.
I use LAMP. I avoid things like IIS.
